A
very rare and little known plastic toy by Paya of Spain, a beautiful
Alfa Romeo Giulietta spyder in 1/32nd. Paya is best known for
its tin plate toys.

A
Hong Kong made toy, it is a 1/32nd copy of a Matchbox racing car
transporter. The boxart is just like the toy, nice but a little
naive. The manufacturer is Jimson. These are relatively easy to
find in the UK. One of these days, it will convert nicely to slot
operation.

The
3 boxes shown above and left form part of two extensive collections
amassed over the years by Mike Sells in the US and myself in the
UK. My intention is to convert them to slot cars, Mike is a static
modeller who works in 1/32 scale. (You can see Mike's work on Mark
Gussin's site)
I hope
to be able to put together pages showing the actual toys. Many of
them are very unusual subjects and beautiful. 1/32nd plastic toys
were made in several countries, but principally Hong Kong, France
and Spain. If you know of any others, please contact me.
