Vintage slot parts page 1

This inspiration for these 4 pages comes from another site called scratchbuild.com.

Do visit it, you will see hundreds of truly great pictures of chassis made by all the best US racers of the 60s and 70s.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my rather more modest collection. As a matter of fact, it did not start as a collection, I just used to buy all the old slot stuff because it was a cheap way of getting parts for my scratchbuild projects, then it sort of got out of hand.

Not too sure what this is, but it fits onto an Atas motor

My one and only Champion chassis, bought long before they became collectable. 1/24th.

Very nice anodised aluminium chassis by Chequered Flag. 1/24th.

They did a gold coloured one as well.

Typical Cox magnesium sidewinder chassis. 1/24th.

This one is a Cox too, notice how the front has been modified. On many of those, the front piece use to distort, my guess this one got broken, hence the modification

Another Cox, in brass this time, fitted with a Strombecker "Devastator" motor. 1/24th.

Dynamic made all sort of different motor mounts for their chassis, this one is for a 36D (Cox in this case). 1/24th.

This is the first of 5 chassis bought in Paris, typical of the late 60s, everything is hinged

Here is the second one, less sophisticated than the one on the left.

Chassis number 3, in line this time.

Fourth one, and the best of the lot, again, everything is hinged. The fifth one is in bits in a box somewhere and can't be shown until restored.
