This is an Otaki kit, which like many Japanese models of the 70s and 80s, was motorised. To convert it into a slot-racer, it is just a case of fitting a Ninco NC1 and a Scalextric guide block. Sadly the kit is to the odd scale of 1/28th. In this case Iused the front half of a scalex BMW M1 chassis. The picture show how simple it really is. Sharp eyed readers will notice that I have not done the exhaust yet. The whole rear panel had to be redone because the kit item was fitted with 2 fans! This sort of mistake is quite typical of early far eastern kits, often the model shown on the box is different from the one inside, my guess is because of the travel distances involved, the toolmakers and the artists must have worked from pictures. In this case when they asked for a picture of the back of the car, somebody gave them the wrong one!
